Megan & Tad | Angkor Wat Engagement Shoot
I meant to release this blog of Megan and Tad’s Angkor Wat Engagement shoot (or re-engagement) on their 5 year anniversary, but missed it by a few days. My bad.
In 2013, Erika and I traveled to Laos, Cambodia and Thailand to see this great country. You can see many more photos and video from our other blogs (Laos or Cambodia/Laos). But, during that time, we wanted to celebrate our guides. Megan and Tad were living in Laos, working for a Travel company and a non-profit. We were so blessed for their expertise to get to know the world they lived in. In that time, we wanted to show how their lives changed in this part of the world with an engagement 2.0 session.
Over the course of our 3 weeks in South East Asia, we had a few different moments of image making. These two are the most adventurous couple we know! They’re the type that would go out on a motorcycle camping trip to celebrate life. The first was during a trip to the Kuang Si Waterfalls outside Luang Prabang. We hiked up to the very top of these falls, played in the water, but also were blessed with absolutely wonderful light. Also, Tad did backflips.
Beyond Laos, we also visited the stunning Angkor Wat site. We had big plans for a more stylized shoot, but I accidentally didn’t charge the batteries for my camera. So, we were in one of the most unique places in the world and I only had an iPod Touch. Luckily, we came back for a 2nd day and were able to make more images.
One of the really fun parts of these shoots was being able to photograph in beautiful places. This video shows our work while at the waterfalls.
Thank you again Megan and Tad for this awesome Angkor Wat Engagement shoot. You’re awesome people, we love you both.
