The beauty of Callum and Mallory’s Suncadia Resort wedding was definitely in the world around, but the little moments of connection between them were what made the day so special. To see Callum’s nervous energy before their first look and then his tears when he saw her for the first time. Their laughter as the windswept bluff for the wedding kept her veil flying in all directions was infectious. The joy of all their guests during dinner echoed throughout the halls of Suncadia.
But, I think my highlight of the day was the group’s first dance on the ridgeline at sunset. To see these two people, surrounded by 6 others who helped knit their lives together and the pure joy emanating from them all as they watched the Central Washington sun fade into the Cascades beyond was a sight to behold. Then, as the wind continued to blow, they enjoyed a few minutes of joyous photo and memory making out on the bluff.
It’s days like this that make me love weddings even more.
I also want to be sure to give a huge shout-out to the teams at Suncadia Resort for all their help making the day happen, Patti Gomes at Revive Artisty for hair and makeup and Violet for her incredible florals.
