Artist Point wedding | David & Michelle

It’s been what feels like forever since we woke up at 2 am for David and Michelle’s North Cascades elopement session. But, it kinda has been. And through that, it made everyone who was at their wedding (myself included) even more excited to get to finally see these two actually get married.

We met up for a first look along the Mt Baker highway and then headed up into the North Cascades for their elopement at Artist Point. It was a joyous trip up in the bus. I think everyone hoped that we’d pop out of the clouds for a sunny ceremony, but in true PNW fashion, the entire Artist Point ridge was caught right in the middle of a cloud.

But, that didn’t damper any spirits. Rather, the white-out conditions created a magical feeling of intimacy and solitude that you had to be there to experience. It felt that David, Michelle, and their guests we the only ones on the peak that day, holding their intimate moment whose fleeing memory can never truly be shared.
