Jose Rizal Bridge Wedding | Riley & Thelben

Riley and Thelben’s Within Sodo Wedding was all you could hope for in a Summer wedding in Seattle. Following their first look on the Jose Rizal Bridge overlooking the city, they were married by a close friend who had seen their relationship grow closer over the years.

They incorporated so much deep meaning into the ceremony, with readings, songs, a sand ceremony, ring warming, a special place to honor Thelben’s fallen father, and culminating in jumping the broom. But, for me, I loved their promises to each other. A well as writing personal vows, they together listed off promises about how they would treat each other, ranging from promising to continue writing love letters and to continue to dance in parking lots. It was a beautiful celebration and I’m just so honored to have been able to be a part of it.
