Keith and Jeanelle are a wonderful couple. I loved photographing their engagement over a year ago at UW (where they met!) and getting to know them in the planning process. They’re kind, welcoming and just fun to be around at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
Before the ceremony, the girls got ready at the Mayflower Hotel in Downtown Seattle. It was a beautiful space to enjoy the life start a celebration.
Meanwhile, the gentlemen were all together for some scotch on a friend’s roof on Capital Hill. This view itself was worth celebrating, but it was fun to see all the men surround Keith as he started the big day.
For the couple’s first look, we all headed over to the Washington Park Arboretum for their 1st look and wedding photos. It was so cute to see how nervous both were to start this day together, but also to see Moms and cousins sneaking peaks of them through the trees.
I love this spot in the park. It’s one of my favorites in the whole arboretum because the lines just pull you through the frame. I also LOVE how happy Keith is.
Yea, they’re a fun group!
For the ceremony, everyone headed back to the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church community center. The room was packed to the gills with friends and family, who were all there for the couple. It was really impressive to see this support.
Seriously, so many happy people!
After everyone ate their weight in lumpia (I think that Jeanelle’s mom made somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 rolls), it was time for the reception. I always love hearing the stories that brought everyone to the wedding day. To see the way that groups surround couples, lift them up, but also poke fun at a few mis-adventues along the way.
Three cheers for a successful money dance!
It was really great to give Keith and Jeanelle their prints and album this week. It’s one of my favorite parts, to see these photos in print, in life and in a tangible form. It makes the memories just feel real. Thank you again to these fantastic humans!
