Kat and Kevin’s MOHAI Engagement Photos were exactly what you want out of a late summer session. In long afternoons our winter selves dream of, we were able to meet in the sunny South Lake Union park, wander around this classic building, laugh in the shadow of weeping willows and then finish the evening at the most classic sunset spot in the city. Though now being January, those days seem so long lost, the warmth of their love and joy seems to radiate from my computer on cold winter mornings.

One of my favorite things about engagement shoots is the random structures, angles, elements and spots you can incorporate into the session. You never know what gems you’re going to find, even in a place you’ve been many times.

OK, let’s just stop and talk about how awesome these two are? Seriously!

Weeping willows are a photographer’s favorite trees.

At the end of the day, we made it out to Golden Gardens, just in time for the last of the sun to dip behind the Olympics.

Thanks again to Kat and Kevin for this fun afternoon. We’re just a few months away from your wedding in Atlanta! It’s going to be a grand adventure!

That is just beautiful. Lovely couple to work with. Our granddaughter is very special to us, so their wedding is going to “make our day.”
