During his toast, Jay’s brother talked about how experiences in the mountains create friendships and bonds that last forever. Following our 11-mile adventure engagement session, I already felt that bond to Amanda and Jay before their beautiful and sentimental Hidden Meadows Snohomish wedding. It was a day to deepen friendships, celebrate the love that brought these two together and smile under a perfect PNW sunset that decided to give us 9 minutes of glorious orange glows.
I really appreciate when couples take time during their fist looks to really celebrate the moment. Amanda and Jay took a few minutes to read letters to each other. It was really beautiful to get to overhear the highlights of their journey together as each celebrated the little things they love most about the other.
And then it was sunset. All afternoon, I was watching the horizon, hoping for a break in the clouds. And they delivered with a little window of bright, bold and beautiful light that floated down across the Snohomish Valley.
Thanks again to Amanda and Jay for everything. It has been so great getting to know you both over the last year and a half and I can’t wait to share more photos from this celebration. I also want to thank all the staff at Hidden Meadows, my second photographer Lauren Bentley and everyone else who made this day go so smoothly.
