After Evan and Tara’s engagement in Downtown Tacoma, I knew their wedding was going to be beautiful. Even though it turned out to be on the most un-characteristic weather day for mid-August here in the PNW (heavy winds, rain and even power outages), they put together a beautiful day that just celebrated their life together at Laurel Creek Manor in Sumner, WA.
This venue has a BEAUTIFUL bridal suite. Seriously, it was so spacious, fun and easy relaxing for people to get ready!
This was such a beautiful moment between Tara and her dad. They took a moment to get away and just celebrate the gravity of the day.
I’ve said it before, but God loves weddings. Though the day was stormy and would rain multiple times, it was bright and sunny for their first look. These two were just radiant as they saw each other for the first time.
One thing I really like about the Laurel Creek Manor is the ability to photograph indoors and on the front porch. Right as we were going to do wedding party photos, the clouds unloaded on us, but we were able to head indoors and keep making images.
Check out this awesome color scheme! They did a great job being consistent and making a vibe that ran through the whole day!
And then it was time to party. It was fun seeing people using umbrellas to shuttle back and forth between the buffet and reception. No one cared about the weather, but was just there to laugh, love and celebrate.
Thank you again to Evan, Tara and their wonderful families for inviting Erika and me into the day. You put together a fantastic celebration of two wonerful people!
