“I wish to spend a lifetime near a lighthouse where loneliness will be the glimmer of luminous prancing upon ocean waves… rising and falling only for my breathing.”
― Munia Khan
There are couples who are simply comfortable together. With that, it meant that Emily and Nick’s Discovery Park engagement photos were going to be just that. I often describe engagement shoots as a time to go to a park, let you kiss each other a little bit and I’ll take some photos. Then, we all laugh because that sounds creepy. But it’s the truth (and not creepy at all). In that, Emily and Nick’s engagement is exactly what comes to mind. We just went on a long stroll around the park, enjoyed the scenery, the sunset and laughed together. What could be more natural, comfortable and wonderful than that.
I should note that these two are passionate as all heck. Scroll down to those photos in the middle of the blog. Are you kidding me? (Also, that purple leather jacket?!?) They were too fun to work with because their laughter was true, their love was real and it made for making the evening to be even more fun. It was a cloudy September day in the park, which meant the only visitors were other engaged couples (seriously, there were half a dozen different engagement shoots that day), but Emily and Nick had more fun.
I have to thank Emily and Nick for this wonderful day. It was a joy to photograph their engagements as well as their wedding a few months later. They are great people!
