How can you go wrong with a bright blue day in Washington that makes you feel like spring is in the air? It was the perfect backdrop for Kaely and Michael’s AXIS Pioneer Square wedding. We started the day at the Mariott in Pioneer Square, had their first look at the Good Bar, were surrounded by a good natured lime-biker gang in Occidental Park and then headed over to AXIS.

And then it was time for the ceremony. I will freely admit to being a softy and so it always warms my soul a little bit to see other grooms who cry during their vows. Michael had been telling everyone that the hard part was the first look, but his tears during his vows brought everyone into the moment.

After some sunset photos looking out over the city, they dove into the rest of the night with stories of running away, shoving cookies into each other’s mouth and just enjoying the night. It was exactly the day designed for these two.

Thanks again to Kaely and Michael for letting me be a part of their special day. I am so excited to go through and share more photos soon.
