Monday weddings are rare, but this one was just awesome. Both Andrew and Emily are Seattle transplants and so the majority of their family was coming into town for the wedding. It seemed only natural then to let people enjoy the Emerald City for the weekend and then finish it off with the ceremony. And they couldn’t have done it any better. Between the wonderful space of Christ Our Hope Catholic Church downtown (and it’s awesome mission to serve) to the deep greens of Woodland Park and on to the classic vaulted ceilings of the Great Hall at Green Lake, this wedding was a full tour of Andrew and Emily’s PNW life. And, through it all, they just radiated love toward each other and the community that surrounded them.
Seriously, Christ Our Hope is a BEAUTIFUL church! It’s only a few years old (used to be a hotel), but has been transformed into an incredible space.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to Woodland Park for some photos. I love the deep greens of this place. It’s also really great how secluded it is and quiet, especially since Green Lake is just down the hill and Hwy 99 right above. It’s a perfect oasis in the city.
After the photos, we headed to the Great Hall at Green Lake for the reception. It was done up beautifully. I love how simple and malleable that building is. I also really loved the hops on every table.
Thanks again to Andrew and Emily for this great day! I can’t wait to share more photos soon!
