I have lived in the PNW for my whole life. One thing that I love about this region is that I’m still being shown new and awesome things in this beautiful part of the world. That is definitely the case with Amanda and Shawn’s engagement at the Old Forston Mill in Darrington, WA. Amanda found this spot while looking for cool places to do engagement photos, so we all packed up to find a spot that was more than we could have hoped for. The brilliant graffiti on the walls (some of the most elaborate I’ve seen around) contrasted beautifully against the brilliant greens of ferns and the fall leaves. The couple even brought a bluetooth speaker, which added a new spice to the engagement.

But, the real joy was getting to know Amanda and Shawn even better! They are an awesome couple, who went to prom together, but then spent almost a decade apart. A couple years ago, they reconnected and now are setting to have an awesome, camp-themed wedding next summer. They have a great love story and this is why I love getting to know the people we work with. They are full of fantastic stories and wonderful memories!
