It is really fun when people have destination weddings in your back yard. Being a true PNWer, I always think of destination weddings going to far off, tropical locations, but it was really special to be a part of Abby and Ben’s Inn at Ship Bay wedding that brought the destination to our corner of the world. It was a true joy to spend a few days on Orcas Island with both families and lots of friends who had come to celebrate the union of these two lovely people! You cannot contain the joy of the day to a few images or even a few moments because they all maximized their time and made the most of their time in Washington.

Abby’s dress was classically beautiful and Ben certainly was no slouch.

It was a joy celebrating the wedding in the Emmanuel Episcopal Parish in Eastsound. I have driven past this little chapel for years and it was just as joyous inside as I had hoped.

Once they were officially wed, everyone headed over to the Inn at Ship Bay for an evening of jazz music, toasts, fantastic food and dancing. Abby and Ben’s smiles lit up the whole place.

Thank you again to Abby and Ben for bringing Erika and me along. We loved working with you all. Also, huge thanks to Leslie with Petals and Twist for coordinating a fantastic day!
