It’s a new year and so it is time for a new look here on the photography website.  It has been a good Seattle winter, but it is time to kick things back into gear.  As I write this, the company is looking forward to 5 weddings this summer and would be honored to work on many more.  I’m so excited for these wedding days. Each one is such a unique time for photography and a photographer.  I so adore the challenge of walking into a venue, seeking out the details of the day and putting my personal eye on those photos.  From the depths of my heart, I thank those who are giving me the opportunity to celebrate with them.

After lots of mulling and wonderful input from Jasmine Star’s ReSTARt, I’m also happy to release our new mission statement.

JTobiason Photography creatively captures life’s important moments, from weddings, to engagements to all other adventures.  Our warm, relaxed approach puts relationships first and develops timeless memories.

These guiding words encompass our unique combination of creativity and real humanity are built into the core of my life and my business.  If that sounds like something you can get on board with, for your wedding please don’t hesitate to contact me at joe@jtobiason.com.  We would love to work with you in Seattle or anywhere in the world.

Of course, we couldn’t have a post without any photography.  My lovely wife, Erika, wanted to make new profile photos for me as part of this whole re-focusing.  We got lucky with a patch of sun and headed down to Seattle’s Greenlake.  Thankfully our shivering from the cold day didn’t affect these portraits and I think they really show my style, themes and roots in film.  Her artistic eye is also available for your wedding day too.
